Lake Togo
The lake is said to look like a a bird with its wings spread open, and is called “bird lake” by some as a nickname. It is a brackish lake, whose circumference is 12km, its area is 4 square km, and a depth ranging from 2 to 7 meters. It is one “Sanin’s Eight Beautiful Sights”. Carp, clams, and other fish can be caught, and many ducks and other migrant birds come in the winter. Inside of the lake there is a natural hot spring. Utilizing these hot springs are Hawai Onsen on the western shore of the lake, and Togo Onsen on the southern side.
