With an elevation of 204 meters, Mt. Utsubuki is a symbol of Kurayoshi, covered by virgin forests including Sudajii trees among others. The area is equipped with walking trails, observation decks and gazebos, allowing visitors to enjoy the forest washing over them throughout all four seasons.

Utsubuki Park is the top cherry blossom viewing destination in the San'in region. In spring, a variety of cherry blossoms and azaleas bloom, drawing many tourists. The park also features a museum, a small animal area, and a comprehensive sports complex that includes a sumo ring, baseball field, tennis courts, and an athletics stadium.
