Kurayoshi Daitenkai (Kurayoshi Merchant Association)
Built in 1908 (Meiji 41), this pseudo-Western-style building features original architectural elements, including ceiling decorations and staircases that have been preserved in their original state. The building is in excellent condition overall and is considered the finest example of dozō-zukuri (storehouse-style) bank architecture still existing in the San'in region. Today, it operates as the restaurant Shirakabe Club, allowing visitors to enjoy the historical atmosphere while dining.

In 1908 this “western” building was built as the Kurayoshi branch of the former Third National Bank. The decorations and fittings that the building featured in its formative years are all intact. It is in such good condition that it is by far the best antique bank structure in the Sanin region.
