Former Kurayoshi Town Water System Pump Station
The Former Kurayoshi Town Water Source Pump Station is located by the small Ogamo River at the western end of Yodoya Town. The pump station served as Kurayoshi's water source from 1932 (Showa 7) until March 1990 (Heisei 2), continuously drawing water for the community. Its stylish design makes it almost unrecognizable as a pump station at first glance. Now that this first water supply facility in Kurayoshi has completed its duties, it quietly continues to mark the passage of time.

The former Kurayoshi area pump-house is located on the western tip of the Ogamo river in Yodoya-cho. From 1932 to 1990 it served as Kurayoshi’s source of water. At a glace, it is quite stylish and does not resemble a pump house, and now is resting peacefully, letting tourists see a surviving piece of history.
