Ootakisan Jizoin
This temple was founded by the Buddhist monk Gyōki in 756 during the Tenpyō Shōhō era. The temple houses a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, the "Wooden Seated Statue of Jizō Bodhisattva." The Jizō Bodhisattva enshrined in the Jizō Hall of Ōtakiyama Jizō-in Temple has long been revered and cherished by the local community, affectionately known as the "Jizō of Seki." Within the temple grounds, visitors can enjoy experiences such as staying in temple lodgings, meditation, sutra copying, and making prayer beads (advance reservation required).
