Kurayoshi Shirakabe Dozogun
Many of the white-walled storehouses along the Tamagawa River were built in the Edo and Meiji periods, and even today one can see traces of those days. Walking along the stone bridge over the Tamagawa River and down the calm and elegant streets with red roof tiles and white plaster walls, you can feel the time pass slowly.

Many of the buildings in the Shirakabe Dozogun area, which sits along the Tamagawa River, were built in the Meiji period. Even now, as you walk along this historic, quiet part of town, you can feel the ambience of those bygone days. Walking along the stone bridges and red roofed-tiles of the white-plastered old buildings, one can certainly slip back in time!
