Nariishi no Hama, The Beach of Sound Stones
Nariishi Beach, a power spot in Kotoura Town, is a unique natural coastline in Japan. It is covered with oval-shaped stones known as "goroita," or cobblestones, which collide with each other in sync with the ebb and flow of the waves, creating a pleasant "karakoro" sound. Hanami Beach (Nariishi Beach) in Akasaki, Kotoura Town, is one of the few coastlines untouched by coastal construction. Due to the sound of the stones, it is known as a place of good fortune, where "the sand sound well and all things get better." It is said that if you write your wish on a stone and throw it into the sea, your wish will come true.
