The Great False Camphor Tree of Bekku
It stands beside the grave of Saint Kūya, known as "Shōninzuka." It is said that when the saint was passing away, he planted a branch in this spot, chanted a Buddhist prayer, and entered nirvana. The branch then sprouted and grew into a full-grown tree. It has been designated a Prefectural Natural Monument.
