Higashi Takao Kannon-ji Temple
There are 45 Buddha statues enshrined here, including two important cultural properties of the nation and 11 cultural properties protected by the prefecture. Among them, the "Wooden Eleven-Faced Thousand-Armed Kannon Standing Statue," designated as an important cultural property by the nation in 1942, is 1.9m tall and made from a single piece of cypress wood. It is the oldest wooden Buddha statue in the prefecture, dating back to the early Heian period.
