Hiruzen Yakisoba(stir-fried noodles) is a staple of local gourmet food. In the 1950s, eating Genghis Khan (a grilled mutton dish) and other dishes using miso sauce that each household in Hiruzen prepared became a boom. among them, a mother who ran a local restaurant Masuya Shokudo started using her proud miso sauce to stir-fried noodles with Kashiwa (chicken), cabbage, and other ingredients. Her Miso-flavored Yakisoba created a sensation and has become a staple local gourmet food since then.
