Residents of the Hiruzen region have been cultivating buckwheat using vast expanses of land since 1997. The beautiful white flowers start to bloom in early September and can be seen everywhere in Hiruzen. Harvest begins in October, and new buckwheat crops are available in restaurants both inside and outside the Okayama prefecture. The white blooms of buckwheat flowers make their annual appearance throughout Hiruzen from early to mid-September. Please refrain from entering the fields or disturbing the farmers, and please keep good manners.
