Daisen-Jinmon Torii shrine gate is located on the Torii-ga-tawa (Torii gateway pass) at the boundary between Gohara and Fujimori villages in Hiruzen, Maniwa City. The current shrine gate, a granite gate rebuilt in 1821, was removed for road maintenance and discarded but was rebuilt at this location with support from the Okayama Prefectural Cultural Foundation. Daisen has long been a spiritual icon and a center of mountain worship since ancient times, attracting people from all over the country, and the Daisen Michi, an ancient road connected to Mt. Daisen, remains today. Since it was hard for women, children, and those who had weak legs to get to Mt. Daisen, they worshipped Mt. Daisen in the distance from here.
